Cancer

Surgery is an important part of the treatment for the most common and deadliest forms of cancer, such as lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer. Cancer patients having medical treatment, such as chemotherapy, feel better and live longer when they have specialist palliative care doctors involved in their care. Our group studies how palliative care specialists can help patients who have surgery to treat their cancer. Our major project studying palliative care for cancer is the SCOPE Trial.
